We are proud to announce:
We have moved into a new facility in Fort Collins!
We would like to extend an enormous thank you to our community in Northern Colorado, our amazing volunteers, our friends and family, and everyone who donated supplies, time, and energy to support us in this journey.
We couldn’t do it without you!
We’re so excited to expand our mission to better fit our communities needs in a new space that will allow us to:
-

Increase Our Rescue Capacity
As reptiles and amphibians become more popular pets, we are seeing an increase in need for rescue services. Our new facility will allow us to not only increase our space capacity but also help us to shorten each individual animals length of stay in our care and untilmately help even more anmals!
-

Expand our Education
We educate our community about reptiles and amphibians, from k-12 education, to family pet care, to training veterinary students and animal control. Now our new facility will allow us to host even more education programs and trainings on site with our education classroom!
-

Create Lasting Conservation Change
Our facility will be home to native species animal ambassadors for the public to learn about as well as interactive displays about our local habitats and how to conserve them during our open hours. Our new space will also act as a hub for conservation projects and trainings.
What’s Next?
The Rainforest Room!
We are transforming one of our rooms into a tropical rescue environment for a variety of species to meet the ever-increasing demand for rescue. This project consists of building multi-tiered structures that will safely house our turtles, as well as provide some much-needed space for them to explore and forage. Just like a rainforest, there will be habitats stacked above them to accommodate different species.
Giving all our rescues a high quality environment to undergo treatment is our highest priority. Having excellent enclosure parameters can shorten a rescue’s time in medical hold, and get them into a loving forever home more efficiently. Not to mention, all the animals in our care deserve the best treatment we can give them!
“What do you need to make it happen?”
We are looking for folks like you - who may have skills to help us.
Do you have:
Carpentry skills?
Lumber to donate?
Pond liner to donate?
We would love your help creating turtle enclosures!
